This meticulously curated installation serves as a pivotal platform for fostering discussions on necessary adaptations amid climate change, mitigating adverse effects on vulnerable populations. Rooted in visual narratives from my 2.5-year doctoral fieldwork on five islands within the UNESCO-designated Indian Sundarban delta, the series captures the fragility and breathtaking beauty of these islands in their harsh habitat. Portraying day-to-day struggles and interactions of local communities with their natural surroundings, the artworks create an emotionally charged space, eliciting empathy and stimulating dialogue on climate change in the global south. This visual representation is a testament to the urgent need for addressing the climate crisis and a compelling call to action, shedding light on the demands of research in remote and isolated landscapes.
